Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Data Architecture will lead the architecture team and provide strategic direction for data initiatives. This role will be responsible for reviewing, defining, and implementing data architecture best practices that ensure data integrity, security, and optimize data access. 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve data management practices.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with data scientists, IT analysts, and Application developers to implement data-driven architecture solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Manage and mentor data architecture team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on working experience with Data Architecture, BI, or Data Warehousing
  • Experience in leading data architecture teams and managing data architecture projects.
  • Strong understanding of the agile project delivery framework and DevOps processes
  • Experience in data product management, platform development, data technology, analytics, and data architecture - consulting experience is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions, such as Azure, is a plus.
  • Experience with data storage (ADL/S3), big data processing (Kafka, Hive, Databricks, etc.), and modeling techniques (star schema, OLAP), etc.
  • Experience with data ingestion APIs, data sharing technologies, and warehouse infrastructure and development.
