Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for the development, implementation & continuous improvement of our eCommerce solutions.
  • Help define technology roadmap and manage sprint/release cycles for the internal and external technology partners.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required activities, tasks and effectively lead and facilitate meetings with project related individuals and groups, including project teams, senior leadership, and external vendors.
  • Work closely with vendors, developers, QA technicians, business analysts, product owners & UX/UI designers to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Develop and Enhance our e-commerce Solutions.
  • Apply development methodologies to ensure teams have the right skills and composition to deliver quickly and respond to emerging requirements
  • Ensure optimal processes are in place to support software development and support activities
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment
  • Optimize processes, SLA's and other metrics that are in place to monitor and measure software development projects, ongoing support & Maintenance activities
  • Coordinates development activity and works directly with subject matter experts, project stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Automates Change Control Process related to software builds, test executions and deployments
  • Works with hosting partners and infrastructure to troubleshoot diagnose and resolve production issues
  • Participates in evolving the Agile/Scrum based SDLC, ensuring that the SDLC meets the needs of the Development Team, as well as fitting within the larger organizational processes, personnel and culture
  • Monitors development activities to ensure data security and audit compliance
  • Partners with the Quality Assurance Team and subject matter experts to ensure that testing is complete, and that ongoing testing is addressed via an automated test suite
  • Provides thought leadership and technical direction for development team
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties
  • Understanding the existing system landscape and preparing conceptual, logical and physical data models

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field
  • Retail or direct to customer e-commerce industry experience required
  • Must have 8+ years of work experience in Java/J2ee based technologies and e-commerce frameworks.
  • Designs, develops and maintains applications developed in various program languages and technologies, including but not limited to: Spring MVC and Spring Batch, Hibernate/JPA, Junit, Maven/Gradle ,Oracle/MS-Sql, GIT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SOAP/REST API's .
  • Deep understanding on Domains, Network, Load balancer, DNS, Servers, Application and Database stack.
  • Demonstrating deep knowledge of web services architectures J2EE, SOAP/REST/JSON including technical development;
  • Experience working in all phases of the SDLC.
  • Utilizing problem-solving know-how, especially debugging and troubleshooting complex software orchestrations, and identifying solution options and/or alternatives.
  • Scoping and estimating project tasks, as well as managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Leading e-commerce and multichannel/Unified Commerce initiatives, including digital development, user experience, organizational change and technology.
  • Experience working on projects adhering to PCI regulations

Skills Preferred

  • Experience in commerce platforms (such as Hybris, Micros, Oracle ATG, Demandware, IBM or similar).
  • Experience in multiple platforms, tools and custom extensions as a Solution architect, including: User Experience and Front End Presentation Layer (HTML5/CSS3, JS/AJAX, Responsive Design), Back-end and middleware development.
  • Experience with one or more of the cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, IBM, Oracle and Google Cloud) and API Gateways like APIGEE, Amazon API Gateway, Mashape-Kong, Azure, 3Scale etc.
  • Experience on working Continuous development environment (CI/CD)
  • Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies (Scrum), preferred
  • Responsible for staying current with new technology developments and techniques
  • Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
