Responsibilities

The Operations Manager, Omni-Channel fulfillment will join a growing team and will be responsible for management of the company's store fulfillment programs as well as its order management system.  Our omni-channel fulfillment program includes ship-from-store, pickup in store and other new and exciting initiatives. This person will have the opportunity to support a 2,200 store network that spans across both the Spencer Gifts and Spirit Halloween brands. This role will help develop strategy and execution and will be highly visible to leaders across e-commerce, operations, and technology. It will also partner with external vendors.

  • Provide oversight and management for the ship from store and pickup in store programs for the Spencer Gifts and Spirit Halloween brands
  • Develop and implement new strategies that help launch new initiatives that scale existing programs
  • Be a leader and become a subject matter expert on the company's order management system
  • Own the operational and business rules that help govern the store fulfillment network
  • Lead initiatives with internal and external technology partners
  • Lead projects designed to enhance the company's store fulfillment strategy
  • Work cross functionally with internal technology and operational teams and with external vendors. Ensure delivery of projects and enhancements that are within the specified timelines and budget
  • Assist a network of over 2,000 stores with various issues related to fulfilling ship from store and pick up in store orders
  • Develop standard operating procedures to standardize the best practices for store fulfillment
  • Analyze data to help drive enhancements and efficiencies within the store fulfillment network
  • Work with our small parcel carriers (FedEx, USPS, etc) to execute ship from store transportation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and have at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with an order management system
  • Experience with ecommerce fulfillment and logistics a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working in excel and with large amounts of data
  • Experience with computer languages (Java, Javascript, etc.) a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and present recommendations to department leaders
