Responsibilities

Summary: The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate with VP of Creative Services, Print Production Director, Packaging Director and the Creative Team. Communicates milestones, critical path activities and assign internal and external responsibility to ensure the department achieves all deliverables per the Creative Department requirements and agreed upon timeline. Partner with Production department, to support timelines while being able to foster multi departmental relationships to ensure deliverables.

Duties Include and are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with teammates and other project managers to ensure your projects are flawlessly delivered on-time, and on-brief.
  • Work with print vendors to establish and manage budgets and timelines within the framework of the project
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and explore contingencies for potential issues
  • Undertake general administrative projects.
  • Seek out and investigate new technologies and better ways to implement automation.
  • Manage project & team meetings including developing agendas and documenting decisions and action items. This should be a collaborative with the production team.
  • Identifies organizational gaps and influences stakeholders to address gaps that impact the program/project.
  • Is comfortable working independently within a matrix environment and can coach, influence and mentor others.
  • Manages a multitude of Licensed and private brand projects by coordinating timelines, creative briefs, and project work scope.
  • Utilize appropriate project planning tools including PLM (Project Life Management System) Page Proof and other Microsoft management systems.
  • Ensures collaboration with channel partners for alignment and requirement of private brand and Licensed deliverables.
  • Develops solutions for day-to-day project management and creative production issues to increase efficiency, value to the organization.
  • Resolves and/or escalates project issues, risks, changes, etc. to provide support and resolution in a timely fashion and verifies claims and certifications as require.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a creative agency, print facility or a related field
  • Software knowledge: Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, Adobe CC knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of Packaging, Signage, Offset and Digital Printing.
  • Experience with pre-press and production processes for digital and offset printing with knowledge of file prep instructions – Document print size, resolution, color modes, bleed, trim edge and safe guide
  • Strong attention to detail fused with great multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to manage multiple, large projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline driven environment
  • Personal organization skills to handle busy daily workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong process management skills and commitment to continuously improving quality and timeliness of his/her own work and that of group and department
  • Have a sense of urgency with critical deadlines, and the ability to quickly reprioritize accordingly
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
