Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a dynamic Senior Data Architect with a strong background in cloud technology and working with Microsoft Azure. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing data warehouse strategies and will lead the implementation of architecture to ensure data integrity, security, and optimize access/retrieval.

• Design and implement data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines, to support business operations 
• Implement and maintain data governance policies and data quality rules to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of data
• Implement data integration processes, including data mapping and transformation, to ensure that data from different sources can be integrated and used by different applications within the organization
• Collaborate with business analysts and data analysts to identify data requirements and design data models that meet the needs of the organization
• Work with IT teams to optimize data storage and processing systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 8+ years of hands-on working experience with Data Architecture, BI, or Data Warehousing
• At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance
• Strong knowledge of database design and data storage systems, such as SQL Server, Teradata
• Experience with modern data warehouse architecture with MPP structure
• Experience with designing data architecture with VLDB (Very Large Database) environment
• Must have hands-on experience in designing tools such as Erwin, etc
• Experience with data integration tools and technologies, such as ETL and ELT
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions, such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with data storage (ADL/S3), big data processing (Kafka, Hive, Databricks, etc.), and modeling techniques (star schema, OLAP), etc
• Experience with data ingestion APIs, data sharing technologies, and warehouse infrastructure and development
• Familiarity with the retail industry is a plus
