Social Media Assistant (SMA) assists in Spencer's and Spirit Halloween social media platforms' day-to-day operations.

The SMA is skilled in messaging, writing, and marketing and savvy about all major channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and TikTok. They also are familiar with emerging platforms and trends across social and messaging.

The SMA is detail-oriented and maintains the ability to prioritize multiple projects at once. The SMA stays up-to-date with current marketing trends, best practices for social media engagement, and monitoring the news cycle to capitalize on opportunities to promote business objectives.

THE SMA is creative, energetic, and capable of creating content for static feed posts, stories, short videos, and memes plus text-based engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance in the operation of Spencer and Spirits' social media platforms.
  • Assist in research, curation, and creation of innovative content for social media accounts.
  • Keep detailed social team calendars including keeping track of important dates, campaigns, and launches.
  • Maintain process and approvals for user generated content.
  • Assist with influencer programs including outreach, look books, campaign tracking, and product sends.
  • Assist in daily posting to platforms and writing error-free and compelling posts that inspire engagement.
  • Assist in engaging with fans, trending topics, and brands via comments.
  • Assist in tracking campaigns, media coverage, and current events.
  • Ideate, create and execute stories, and posts.
  • Assist in organizing product, photo kits, and communications with photographers and models for social media photography.
  • Attend photo/video shoots as necessary.
  • Assist in organizing, launching, and fulfilling sweepstakes on social channels.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing social media pages.
  • Familiarity with the retail environment.
  • Must have the ability to lift over 25lbs.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation for product drop-offs.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with digital campaigns across platforms, content creation and curation across platforms.
  • Knowledge of social platforms such Emplifi, Dash Hudson, or Sprinklr is a plus.
  • Experience with basic graphic design and video editing.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
