Responsibilities

A Hands-On, Agile Software Development Team member that architects and designs enterprise solutions for both new and existing applications within the Microsoft Development arena. Takes product concepts and specifications and translates them into a framework that the development teams can create. The successful candidate is someone who enjoys keeping their hands on technology, is passionate about software design and solutions, and is a positive thinker. 

  • 15+ years’ experience
  • Works closely with Enterprise Architect to research and evaluate emerging technology trends and identify concrete transformation opportunities that delivers tangible business value
  • Partners with Application Delivery Teams enabling large scale realization of chosen technology transformation objectives
  • Defines standards around Solution Architecture, Application Development Platforms, Enterprise Middleware, Third party components and Solution Delivery Infrastructure
  • Determines common solutions, shared infrastructure and reusable assets that promotes engineering excellence, implementation efficiency, and application quality
  • Partners with peer leaders managing systems, network and production infrastructure, influence end-to-end architecture best practices enabling full realization of Enterprise Architecture delivering tangible business value to internal and external customers
  • Partner with business project owners and Development heads on infrastructure development activities, including keeping them informed during the R&D and implementation life-cycle
  • Provides mentoring, coaching, career development, skillset transformation and line management leadership to team of Enterprise Architects
  • Contributes for yearly budget planning. Plan, estimate, and manage IT investments through the financial year in-line with corporate policies and best practices
  • Participate on various management reporting as and when needed by department head
  • Reviews and executes project initiatives, conducts code reviews and promotes best practices
  • Develops solutions for large or complex projects
  • Mentor/guide other developers in learning new technologies
  • Resolves any deficiencies or outstanding issues
  • Ability to oversee the work performed by other technical resources on the team and ensure the compliance of application & architecture guidelines
  • Communicate with Leadership teams effectively
  • Ensures the identification and implementation of improvements to the development process and standards
  • Encourage innovation and teamwork
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of solution architecting experience using end-to-end Microsoft stack
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree, OR equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. Ability to work hand in hand with Product Management and/or Architecture team to achieve product delivery goals
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO/TFS) work items, task board, source control etc. and familiarity with CI / CD tools
  • Detailed knowledge of database design and object/relational database technology
  • Strong balance of operational and business aptitude and comprehension
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to design and develop large scale applications

Technology:

  • Microsoft Stack – MS SQL Server, .Net/.Net Core, C#, ASP.Net (MVC/API/RAZOR), WPF
  • Other – JavaScript (Angular 2+/JQuery), HTML, CSS, SharePoint, SSRS / Power BI, AB
  • Distributed Application Architecture - Docker Containers, Event-Driven Messaging Infrastructure (Kafka), Microservices, Caching/Syncing, Analytics and monitoring (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana)
  • Frameworks/Components- Redis, Identity Server, SSO, Blazor
  • Experience with Data Integrations involving files (XML, JSON, CSV, etc.), systems (AS400, Oracle, Terradata, etc.) and technologies (SSIS, FTP, etc.)
