Responsibilities

The desktop support technician is responsible for providing a single point of contact for end users to receive support. The person will provide frontline support (in person and remote) requiring troubleshooting and technical assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for new technologies, learning, and providing exceptional customer service to end-users.

  • Provide training and documentation to end users
  • Install and configure software and hardware components on PC and Mac systems
  • Support company personnel, including hardware, VPN connectivity, wireless networking, email, and printers
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
  • Document support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system
  • Interface with other IT departments for end user problems and access requests
  • Assist with mass laptop deployment during busy season and image new devices for associates

    Qualifications

    • Possess an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills
    • Proficient in Active Directory and group management
    • Experience in supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop/laptops
    • Familiarity with basic networking principles Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with excellent customer service skills
    • Provide end user training and documentation
