POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced “out of the box” thinking creative professional to join our growing product development team. The ideal candidate possesses a unique creative versatility and skilled in both graphic design as well as illustration.

This position is in a high tempo, deadline driven environment and requires the ability to change creative gears very quickly. It requires someone who is flexible, versatile and organized. In a single day you might be required to go from creating spot color graphics and designs for drink ware to illustrating full color realistic costume artwork to sketching rendering product concepts in multiple views. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Create and/or assist in the development of hardlines and softlines product, costumes and accessories
  • Work with merchandise team and/or vendors on concepts.
  • Spec and work with production team to execute product with overseas vendors.
  • Build strong relationships with team members, suppliers and vendors.
  • Create technical specification packages for all direct sourced hardline and accessory products
  • Answer factories queries and execute problem-solving initiatives during production

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Educations and/or Experience:

Associate or BFA (in Graphic Design) degree; or three to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • An ability to think conceptually in both 2D and 3D with knowledge of product development is preferred.

  • Experience in the toy industry is a huge plus.

  • Working knowledge of illustrator and Photoshop with the ability to execute illustrations and designs in a variety of execution styles in each is essential.

  • Knowledge of both full and spot color print processes along with the ability to prepare production artwork for hard lines products, textiles as well as embroidery is also essential. 

  • PLM experience a plus
