POSITION SUMMARY


The Print Production Analyst will be the central contact point for all project work that flows through the creative team. Duties include managing internal traffic systems, creating schedules and tracking project progress, routing work for review and approval, archiving files and assets and opening and closing projects. Partners with third-party providers of print services, ensuring delivery with maximum savings and quality products. Focus on project management, timely delivery and achievement of Performance Imperatives.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 



•         Assist with developing timelines for packaging, signage, marketing materials, etc. and manage the process to complete. Use a project lifecycle system to track assets and progress, assure accuracy, within budget and on time.



•         Maintains deadlines, communicates job details to all parties involved, internal and external, including vendors.



•         Organization of working files and final files on the server. This includes accurate archiving of packaging and signage files and prints.



•         Fundamental knowledge of packaging substrates and package types. Including: clamshells, blister packs, bags, corrugated primary cartons, folding cartons, header/insert cards, shippers and internal protective packaging.



•         Responsible for accuracy and proofing of all packaging mechanicals, both hard copy and digital proofs.



•         Work collaboratively and flexibly with other members of the Creative Team, Marketing, Product Managers, and other departments to achieve project goals while working within brand guidelines



•         Tracks the status of jobs through the life of the project – working directly with the creative team.



•         Ensures routing of projects to necessary team members and monitors signatures/approvals. Traffic production of all creative elements through all steps of a project.



•         Maintain knowledge of the industry and competition through frequent shopping of markets and research of current trends in merchandising techniques, substrates and in-store displays.



•         Coordinate fulfillment and distribution of all printed material through warehouses to delivery at store. Includes material tracking, workflow management and communication to marketing, operations and logistics teams.



•         Tests new substrates and samples in-store with the ability to provide technical input.



•         Develop detailed RFQs based on project requirements; negotiate prices, schedules, turnaround times and other terms with vendors.



•         Guide the team in preparing art files for release to printers and factories



•         Planning and managing multiple high priority tasks simultaneously.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



•         4+ years of experience in a creative agency, or a related field



•         Software knowledge: Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Adobe CS5 knowledge a plus



•         Experience with pre-press and production processes for digital and offset printing with knowledge of file prep instructions – Document print size, resolution, color modes, bleed, trim edge and safe guide



•         Strong attention to detail fused with great multi-tasking ability



•         Ability to manage multiple, large projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline driven environment



•         Personal organization skills to handle busy daily workload



•         Strong written and verbal communication skills



•         Strong process management skills and commitment to continuously improving quality and timeliness of his/her own work and that of group and department



•         Have a sense of urgency with critical deadlines, and the ability to quickly reprioritize accordingly



•         Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure



•         Excellent problem solving and analytical skills



•         Understanding of the promotional programs and activities




•         Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred
