  • Manage and direct production for packaging, signage, direct mail, and ecom assets. Work may include meeting with clients to understand the scope of the project, making phone calls to vendors and conducting press checks.
  • Rejects poor quality or incorrect work and partners with Creative Director to schedule rework when necessary.
  • Approves print production priorities and print specifications, while adhering to schedule.
  • Give detailed attention to image resolutions, color and size accuracies, and production values.
  • Advise Graphic Designers on production standards for print and ecom projects.
  • Implementing processes to increase output and manage workload.
  • Grants final approval on all mechanical artwork, copy, formats, mock-ups, and proofs.
  • Lead by example in advocating the importance of proper file formatting and production follow through.
  • Collect, report and evaluate productivity to Creative Director and initiate any needed improvements.
  • Display confidence, emotional intelligence and decisiveness.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and make decisions to solve production challenges.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the quality of each projects' file.
  • Managing production staff/freelancers.
  • Liaising with Production Managers and Creative Director to discuss setbacks in time or processes.
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation for design team.
  • Create PDF's for print and client review.
  • Leadership qualities: ability to direct employees and temporary staff in a positive manner.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. This includes Microsoft programs such as Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with web analytics tools (Omniture, CoreMetrics, Visual Sciences, HTML, and Social Media).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Self starter with the ability to work both independently and as team member.
