Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating utilities functions and maintaining communications with landlords, field team, and vendors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


•        Collect and input all necessary information (i.e. account numbers, meters, dates, etc.) in VP for setting up new utilities for Spirit stores, including electricity, gas, water, and sewer.

•         Coordinate utility turn-on and turn-off appointments with the field team, when necessary.

•         Work closely with utility vendors (i.e. Schneider, etc) to set up new accounts for Spirit stores.

•         Diligently resolve issues surfaced by the field through monitoring emergency and “off hours” work (i.e. power outages, electric/water disconnects, etc.)

•         Process applications for utility account activations including, but not limited to:  electricity, gas, water, and sewer. Verify all initials, signatures and dates before sending to landlords/vendors/municipalities.

•         Reconcile utility invoices and landlord utility deposits at the end of the season. Verify all billed utility usage is accurate, reasonable, and paid in a timely manner.

Job Requirements


  • Associates Degree or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Word Processing software, email, and database software.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.
  •  Professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain efficiency when working through heavy volume with accuracy.
  • Must be flexible and highly motivated with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to operate typical office equipment including printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
