From making hospitals less scary for children and their families to standing up for voices that deserve to be heard, we take pride in our commitment to our communities. Spirit of Children

At the heart of Spirit Halloween is Spirit of Children, which is dedicated to making hospitals less scary for kids and their families. Spirit Halloween invites guests to help make a difference by donating at their local store during the Halloween season. Since its launch in 2006, Spirit of Children has raised over $160 million for Child Life departments in hospitals across the United States and Canada. All donations stay within local communities, with 100% of the funds going directly to support Child Life departments.

Boobies Make Me Smile

Boobies Make Me Smile partners with organizations who are committed to the fight against Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer through promoting early detection, sharing resources, and building community for individuals affected by AYA cancer. Since launching in 2008, Boobies Make Me Smile has raised over $15.1 million, with 100% of every donation directly supporting Young Survival Coalition (YSC), Fxck Cancer, and Stupid Cancer.

ACLU & CCLA Partnership

Spencer's annual Pride Campaign raises awareness and funds throughout the month of June for our partner organizations, American Civil Liberties Union (ALCU) & Canadian Civil Liberties Union (CCLA). Our associates and guests are encouraged to be their true, authentic selves without judgement.

United Way

We've been a United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey partner for over 40 years. Through monetary donations and volunteer projects, we support local agencies to help break the cycle of poverty and create more opportunities in our community. During our annual United Way campaign, our associates can donate to any 501(c)(3) charity of their choice with the convenience of direct deduction from their paycheck.

Spencer’s Spirit Associate Relief Fund

The Spencer’s Spirit Associate Relief Fund (SSARF) is a resource available to eligible associates experiencing unforeseen financial hardship, providing grant assistance for qualifying situations such as natural disasters and personal emergencies. SSARF supports our associates during challenging circumstances and offers help when unexpected situations arise.
