“Spencer's.” Maybe it was that fart machine your uncle bought for
you in the sixth grade unbeknownst to your parents or the black
choker you wore the day your boyfriend broke your heart in front
of like, everyone. There’s no denying it: we have a long history of
makin’ life fun, but we’ve come a long way since we first
introduced the lava lamps and plasma balls that made us famous.

From state-of-the-art love products to attitude tees that make
headlines to gag gifts you parade around town before you tie the
knot, we have no problem pushing boundaries. In fact, WE ARE
known for it.

WE ARE COOL
Walk through our stores or the halls of our corporate office and
you’ll see firsthand that we’re laidback and irreverent. We’re firm
believers in being true to YOU, so tattoos and piercings are as
common as watercooler convos.

WE ARE OUTRAGEOUS
Have you ever seen a beer pong table set up in your office? We
didn’t think so! Our cups were filled with water and it was a
product test, but it still counts, okay?! Witnessing a man dressed
up as an inflatable poop emoji in one of our conference rooms is a
common sight and this is what makes working for Spencer’s so
much fun. We’re fast-paced and take our work seriously, but we
always have a good laugh at the end of the day.

a whoopie cushion, our teams understand the importance of

What’s it like to help Halloween come alive in the spookiest
ways? How do we get ready for a killer season every year for
our over 1,300 seasonal popup stores? Here’s the scoop.

A FRIGHTFULLY FUN WORKPLACE
As you can imagine, working at Spirit Halloween isn’t like
working at your typical retail store or corporate office. For
one thing, we are geared around a three-month shopping
period leading up to Halloween, so while there’s a large
amount of year-round preparation that goes into our
operation, there’s also a heightened sense of excitement as
“the season” approaches. Expect to see costumes for kids
and adults, props, and décor, some cute, some spooky,
everywhere you look. You’ll not only have a front row seat to
the largest seasonal Halloween retailer in the world, you’ll be
making a direct impact on what your friends and neighbors
dress up as, whether they’re trick or treating or haunting their
home with ghosts, goblins and scarecrows.

NEVER A DULL MOMENT
There’s never a “typical day” at Spirit because we are always
working to innovate, expanding our reach and the size of our
stores as well as staying timely so our customers can wear
the most of-the-moment costumes to impress their friends.
We want our animatronics to be the spookiest, our costumes
to be the most hilarious and our décor to be the kind people
stop and take photos of. You’ll be working with the best and
the brightest as you help us deliver the most fun Halloween
experience possible to our guests.

things that go bump in the night. Every year, we introduce all
new spooky creations that will make you scream (sometimes
literally) as well as beloved favorites from film, TV
and beyond. We keep pushing ourselves to go above and beyond
for those who look forward to Halloween all year long, and
expect you to contribute your ideas to aid us in our mission.
