Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Ecommerce Merchandise Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence across ecommerce merchandising, fulfillment, and vendor management. This role emphasizes ownership of key processes, relationship management with internal and external partners, and accountability for site cohesion, compliance, and promotional execution. The manager ensures seamless collaboration between teams to optimize product assortment, pricing, and guest experience.
- Act as primary liaison between merchants and category teams, managing relationships to ensure site cohesion and accuracy, and taking ownership of cross-team collaboration
- Oversee POD and dropship vendor base, managing vendor relationships and processes to ensure operational excellence and accountability
- Manage e-com only specific restrictions and requirements on products (e.g., oversized shipping, shippable inners), owning compliance processes and ensuring all requirements are met
- Ensure pricing consistency and execute promotional and clearance events across stores, e-commerce, and Amazon, maintaining full accountability for outcomes and driving process improvements
- Assist in up sells and categorization as needed, partnering with the category team and managing merchandising processes to optimize product placement and sales
- Manage BOSS/BOPIS-only assortment and maintenance, overseeing processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate logistics timing, concerns/issues, and delivery changes with Ecommerce Buying and internal teams, managing communication processes and following up to ensure alignment and accountability
- Prepare changes to vendor policy and vendor communication, owning the process of policy development and stakeholder engagement
- Assist in communications with fulfillment center(s), managing processes for deliveries, bin checks, ticketing, and damaged items, and ensuring timely resolution
- Work closely with Guest Services on guest needs, such as missing items and damaged goods, managing the resolution process and maintaining strong relationships with internal partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 years of experience in Ecommerce merchandise operations, with demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects
- Proven expertise in process management, including the development, implementation, and optimization of operational workflows
- Strong track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with vendors, fulfillment centers, internal teams, and external partners
- Experience owning and driving key initiatives, with accountability for results and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes
The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Pay Range
$95,000 - $105,000
