Responsibilities
The Supervisor, Receiving & Mega Center, oversees all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring efficient receipt, sorting, and distribution across locations. Responsibilities include signing for deliveries, unloading large shipments (including forklift use), coordinating outgoing packages, and supervising receiving staff. This role also supports printer operations, assists with high-volume print jobs, and provides cross-functional support in the print and mailrooms.
- Lead and supervise a team of receiving staff to ensure efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments from various carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS)
- Unload packages from various carriers and all box truck shipments that require a forklift to be unloaded
- Sort deliveries by department or individual recipient and deliver packages to recipients within our home office and any outside company office and record incoming packages in a digital or manual log
- Collect outgoing shipments from external company offices and deliver them to the mailroom for processing; transport all mailroom-processed packages to the loading dock for scheduled pickup
Make regular trips to the Post Office to retrieve certified mail, purchase stamps, and visit the bank as needed
- Monitor all in-house printers for repair, maintenance, and supplies; provide and deliver paper and toner to departments; and order and maintain overall print room supplies
Print manuals, mockup drawings, high-priority jobs, and high-volume requests using a multifunction printing system, while ensuring timely printing, copying, and distribution of reports to departments throughout the company
Maintain a clean, organized, and free of hazard receiving area, ensuring disposal of packaging materials and empty boxes properly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, with three to five years of related experience and/or training, including previous management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Forklift certified/trainable
- Must possess a valid Driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
