Responsibilities
The Merchandise Systems Support Intern will troubleshoot merchandise system incidents, develop database queries, monitor batch processes, and improve knowledge articles. This role requires multitasking, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork across functions, commitment to quality, and adherence to security compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve merchandise system incidents, escalating complex issues to senior team members
- Develop and optimize database queries and stored procedures to support merchandising operations
- Monitor and analyze batch processes, reporting anomalies and recommending improvements
- Follow knowledge articles to ensure all diagnostic steps are completed, relevant information is documented, and escalations follow the outlined protocol
- Report outdated or incorrect knowledge articles and submit revisions for missing information
Qualifications
- Available to work 30 hours per week while being on-site a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday)
- Completion of junior year preferred and must be enrolled in college for the upcoming semester; graduate students are also encouraged to apply
- Commutable distance to our home office in Egg Harbor Township, NJ
- Working towards a degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
- Ability to multi-task – Manage multiple tasks at a time; quickly and accurately shift attention among multiple tasks
- Organizational ability – Demonstrate a systematic approach in carrying out assignments
- Problem solving skills – Demonstrate a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
- Experience effectively working on projects with cross-functional teams (including software developers, infrastructure and QA teams)
- Perform own job responsibilities with commitment to quality and customer satisfaction - doing what's right for the team and for the enterprise
- Identify and report security risks per compliance requirements
The pay range reflects the potential rate for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
