Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Supervisor oversees inventory accuracy and merchandise flow in a high-SKU, high-volume distribution environment. This role leads a team of associates, enforces inventory control procedures, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supervise daily inventory control activities and manage the cycle count program to ensure inventory accuracy and timely merchandise flow
- Implement and maintain SOPs and best practices within inventory management to reduce discrepancies and improve efficiency
- Utilize WMS and reporting tools to monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, aging, and cycle count productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory strategies with business goals and enhance distribution workflows
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates; manage performance evaluations and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards
- Monitor labor, budget, and resource needs to maintain cost-effective operations within the department
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to optimize inventory control and throughput
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; one to two years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing cycle count programs and achieving inventory accuracy goals
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills with a professional demeanor and business acumen
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimize inventory flow, track productivity, and enhance operational efficiency
- Flexible to work across all shifts, departments, and locations within the Distribution Center
- Bi-lingual, preferred
