Responsibilities
The Assistant Designer is responsible for assisting in the design and development of proprietary merchandise and accessories. The ideal candidate will support the design team with project coordination, sample management, and creative development.
- Assist in the design and development of apparel & costumes
- Create illustrations and detail sheets to communicate design concepts
- Collaborate with design team and cross-functional departments
- Organize fabric and trim libraries, prepare sample submissions for licensors
- Assist with meeting preparation and maintain project documentation
Qualifications
- Degree in Design, Fashion Merchandising, or related field from two or four-year college
- 1+ years related design or retail experience preferred
- Entry-level candidates with strong portfolios will be considered
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of design development process
- Passion for pop culture and current trends
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A creative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their design career
The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Pay Range
$45,000 - $55,000
