Responsibilities
The Receiving Associate is responsible for managing the full cycle of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate, timely delivery and dispatch of packages. This role includes accepting, logging, sorting, and distributing incoming packages, as well as preparing and processing outgoing shipments for pickup.
- Receive and sign for packages, mail, and shipments from carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS); unload shipments, including those requiring forklift use
- Log incoming deliveries digitally or manually
- Sort and distribute packages to appropriate departments or recipients across the home office and external locations
- Collect outgoing shipments from remote offices and deliver them to the mailroom for processing; ensure all outgoing packages are brought to the loading dock for pickup
- Make regular trips to the Post Office for certified mail and stamps and to the bank for company-related errands
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area; properly dispose of packaging materials
- Participate in cross-training to support other mailroom tasks and ensure operational coverage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Forklift certified/trainable
- Must possess a valid Driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Pay Range
$19.00 per hour
